take me out to the ball game..

yea, i know, random title but i'm running out of titles...and that song has been stuck in my head for days :)

anyhow.. things here have been good and busy, as usual. it is now definate: i am teaching a year 1 and a year 2 topic at the teachers college in addition to doing the classroom supervision I have mentioned in the past. I will be teaching the year 1 students Set Concepts and the year 2 students Statistics. I am really excited about it. I've met all the students (in theory) and am starting my lesson planning and such. It has been keeping me busy. I start teaching this coming week. Wish me luck!

This past week I helped facilitate a workshop for P1 teachers on Thematic Curriculum. I helped them write short books that they could use in their classes since books are in such short supply in Lumasaaba. They talked of getting books in English and translating them, but we will see what happens. We are holding the same workshop next week for a different set of teachers in my catchment area. I also had my first Resource Center Committee meeting on Tuesday. The teachers seem to be motivated to help fix up the center and get things put together for it, but we'll see what happens. ahh.. busy life

Other than that things have been gonig well. I recieved two packages this week: One from katherine and one from ashley! Thanks guys :) They made me smile because I didn't know they were coming!
