another year older...

So, what have I been up to…it has been school break so there hasn’t been much in the way of teaching going on…but I have been trying to update the books at the vocational school and relax a little bit. Barbara had a crafts course for local women to learn how to weave plastic baskets (think Easter baskets) and make jewelry. I helped with that and learned quite a bit too. We have also formed a womens group to continue making these things and sell them so the women can have a small income to help support their families. We have had elections and as much as I protested it they have given me the post of project coordinator. I tried to explain to them that it was a group for local women (and if they couldn’t tell) and I am not a local woman…but they insisted and I gave in. I am essentially in charge of finding projects and presenting them to the group. I just have to keep everything organized and on top of all that is going on. What is another task to be put in front of me…?

Well other than that there isn’t much else going on. Keep on supporting me and my local community. Soon I will have a proposal approved (hopefully) and we will begin finding money and building at the primary school. Thank you all for everything that you do…

Oh and did I mention that I have less than a year left??
